Prior to being a student at the LSA and being a part of the IF_DO team, Raphael studied at the Lincoln School of Architecture, before moving to London to work for SUSD.
With a keen interest in community engagement and socially responsive design and prior to working at IF_DO, Raphael previously worked with Innersmile on a number of youth centre projects across London. He thinks architecture should be somewhat whimsical and imaginative and is inspired by the use of architecture as an event and a tool for change.
Raphael is currently exploring the agency of the architect and housing policy as part of his Design Think Tank, Architectural Agency, as well as dreaming about how to help save the world and still pay his rent. If architecture doesn’t work out he intends to be a blogger/professional tweeter/tv presenter extraordinaire.
