We are pleased to share that Part 0 programme leads, Roy Coupland and Ya Ya Chen, have been shortlisted at this year’s NLA Awards. The Woodberry Down Design Studio, delivered by Roy and Ya Ya’s practice, RC/YYC, is included in the NLA’s Meanwhile Activation category!
The Woodberry Down Design Studio is a youth-led initiative established to create long-term opportunities for young residents to engage with the ongoing regeneration of Woodberry Down.

By RC/YYC
Since regeneration began in 2007, Woodberry Down has undergone significant physical and social transformation. With more new residents than long-standing ones, perceptions of local identity, belonging and inclusiveness are an on-going challenge in the area, especially among residents aged under 25.
The Design Studio addresses this by offering young people the opportunity to be involved in some of the changes taking place, delivering public realm projects through engagement and up-skilling workshops.
You can read more about the project here.
