India Salter

India Salter headshot

India graduated in 2024 from The Manchester School of Architecture. After completing her degree, she joined Sister, the architecture team within Sellar, the developer behind The Shard. During her time there, she worked on a range of projects across different scales, gaining valuable insight into the design process from concept to delivery. She now works as an Architectural Assistant at GPAD while studying for her master’s degree at the LSA.

India is fascinated by how architecture shapes the way people live, move, and connect. She is particularly interested in the relationship between user experience and the scale of the built environment, and how design can respond to human needs in meaningful and engaging ways. She enjoys exploring the interdisciplinary nature of architecture, where creativity and technical knowledge come together to solve complex problems. For India, the most exciting part of the profession is the constant opportunity to learn – each project offers a new perspective and raises new questions about the role architecture plays in our everyday lives.
