Richard Breen

Currently working as an Architect at Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners on the development and renovation of Hammersmith Town Hall.

I studied my MArch at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. Student of UNIT 16 – tutored by Josep Mias (MIAS Architects), Johan Berglund (42 ARCHITECTS) and Dirk Krowoloski. Achieved a Distinction in my first year for a modular social housing project and merit in my second year for a study into Biorock and grown constructions.

I completed my Part I Architectural Studies degree at Newcastle upon Tyne University in 2012, where I achieved a 1st class honours degree and was awarded the HB Saint William Bell Memorial Prize for Best Major Design Project and the Douglas Wise Memorial Prize for Highest mark. I also received a Commendation at the 2012 RIBA Presidents Bronze Medal Award for my Graduation Project entitled AfterImage.

Previous work experience includes an Architectural Assistant position at Maccreanor Lavington Architects (London) and xsite architecture LLP (Newcastle).
