Jessie Turnbull

First Year Design Tutor

Jessie studied architecture at Cambridge University and Princeton University. She currently works at MICA, where she is project architect for the Keble College Acland site, a £55m development in Oxford consisting of 250 student rooms with 3,000sqm of commercial space. Previously she was an associate at Robert A.M. Stern Architects in New York, and has also worked for Stan Allen Architect in New York, and Atelier Bow-Wow in Tokyo.

Jessie has taught architecture at the Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff University, Parsons School of Design in New York, and at Princeton University School of Architecture. She has also been a regular guest critic at numerous schools including the Architectural Association, Pratt School of Architecture, Cornell University, Cooper Union and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. At MICA she leads the Equality Forum, and is dedicated to bringing women and minorities into higher roles in the field of architecture.
