Three £1,000 bursaries to combat structural barriers to diversity in architectural education
The LSA recognises that there are significant structural barriers to diversity in architectural education which are often financial.
Our school is committed to establishing a diverse teaching base to support an increasingly diverse cohort of students — we aim to establish a student body that is 50% from disadvantaged neighbourhoods and 50% ethnically diverse by 2030.
To support this goal, the LSA is offering three Teaching Development Bursaries worth £1,000 each. These will be used to give educators the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of our innovative Design Think Tank teaching model and potentially explore other teaching opportunities within the school. The bursaries are for Early Career Practitioners who may not have extensive teaching experience, but are looking to develop their experience in the educational sector, and who are from underrepresented groups — in particular, BAME and LGBTQ+ candidates are encouraged to apply.
We currently have a range of teaching positions open. Find out more here.
