Sidewalk Labs is a New York-based company (owned by Google’s parent company Alphabet) comprising urbanists and technologists, developing digital and physical innovations to improve life in cities. They are developing Sidewalk Toronto: A prototype neighbourhood from the ground up, including buildings designed by Heatherwick studio.
Waugh Thistleton is a London-based studio that is a world leader in designing sustainably with mass timber construction. Their completed projects include Dalston Works in Hackney, (the largest CLT building in the world) and they are seen to be leaders of the so called ‘timber revolution’.
