Student Finance
To further support our ambitions to widen access, the LSA has ensured that students can borrow the full amount of their tuition fees. Click here to find out more about tuition fees, student finance and bursaries and hardship funding.
Priorities
The LSA exists to benefit and support its students. Our Access and Participation Plan outlines our approach to widening access to architectural education. We have a rigorous approach to Value for Money, to ensure that we pass on savings to students in the form of lower tuition fees. Our Student Protection Plan provides you with assurance that we are firmly committed to protect your interests.
Admissions
Applications for 2021/22 are closed – however, we may consider late applications. Click through to find information on the applications process (including application requirements and practice placement) and how to transfer to the LSA.
Development
The LSA has an unusual history, having emerged as a collaborative initiative launched by a think-tank. To reach this point of fruition, the school is incredibly grateful for the generosity of our amazing founders and the creative input of our supporters. The school is fully committed to transparency and you can find our audited accounts in this section.
Purpose
A new school for a new century, our vision is that people living in cities experience more fulfilled and more sustainable lives. Our strategy, characteristics and values define how we will get there, who we are, and how we operate.
Programme
Our Part MArch in Designing Architecture programme has a unique educational model that seeks to prepare graduates to design innovations in architecture and cities for the 21st century. Our Inter-Practice Year is more urban and collaborative, while the Proto-Practice Year supports you to develop your personal design identity.
Principles
The LSA connects the ‘Why’ with the ‘What’ so that our founding motivations inform all our current activities. The school has four pillars: small yet connected, we unite academia and practice, use the city as our campus, and support you to establish your personal creative practice.
